Prime TV and Radio celebrate 1st Anniversary

Prime Radio and Prime TV after a successful year of operations, now step into the second year after a successful journey since Nov. 12th 2009. It is now their desire to move forward with a firm dedication to further serving entertaining and enhancing the knowledge of the viewers

Prime TV and Prime Radio Channels were launched on the 12th of November last year with the main intention of disseminating new in the English medium as well as provide entertainment to the Sri Lankan viewers. Prime TV, as a Channel operative 24 hours of the day, was successful in winning the hearts of the viewers. All arrangements are now in place by Prime TV which is available in TV frequencies as well as via satellite and internet, to march forward with the viewers further expanding its coverage. Even Prime Radio is advancing successfully amidst a high response, particularly from the youth.

A special function was organized at the Independent Television Network Head Office premises at Wickremasinghepura in Battaramulla this morning, to mark the First Anniversary of both these Channels. The function commenced with the multi religious observances. ITN Chairman Rosmund Senaratne, giving his views at this ceremony pointed out the importance of the prevalence of such media to win the future world. He referred to the achievements made by both Prime TV and Prime Radio despite constraints, limitations and obstacles. He said plans are afoot to further improve the Prime TV and Prime FM Channels.

Members of the Board of Directors, Deputy General Managers and members of the Staff graced the occasion.
