The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) has today (15) while condemning the attack on JVP MP Sunil Handunnetti and three other JVP activists in Jaffna has highlighted the deterioration of the law and order in the country.
The TNA has said that the attack was a clear indication of the deterioration of the law and order in the country.
TNA parliamentarian Suresh Premachandran has been quoted in the media saying that the military and police has to be held responsible for the attack as the entire north is under their control.
Handunnetti and three other JVPers were assaulted yesterday (14) when they were attending a meeting at former TNA MP Padmini Sithambaranadan’s residence.
According to the JVP, a group of unidentified persons had tried to abduct one of its activist and Handunnetti and a few others were injured in the attack.
