With the aim of further strengthening the health care services, the President recently issued a directive to the Health Ministry to keep the Outdoor Patients Departments of Government Hospitals open round the clock. It is in this respect that the OPD’s of General Hospitals, Teaching Hospitals and District Hospitals are being kept open. Minister Sirisena said the Government’s aim was to provide an efficient health care service to the public. He said this service will be extended to other Hospitals in the near future.
