All arrangements are in place for the Nidahasa Exhibition and Fair which will open this afternoon under the patronage of the Prime Minister.
The exhibition will continue until Saturday. It will be opened to the public from 2.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. It is also planned to operate a special transport service for the convenience of the public visiting the exhibition. The Government Information Department said a flat rate of five rupees will be charged for transport.
The special bus service will operate from opposite the Bandaranaike Memorial Hall to Borella and Kirulapone and from opposite St. Bridgett’s Convent to Bambalapitiya and Fort. In addition bus services on all other routes leading to the Independence Square during the daytime will be expanded.
