Two South Carolina residents are Powerball millionaires this month.
A 56-year-old Simpsonville woman won $1 million in the Nov. 13 drawing with a ticket winning $200,000, multiplied by the Powerball "Powerplay" option. A week earlier, a Little River man won the same prize. Neither winner wanted their names disclosed.
The Simpsonville woman said she was told by a store clerk at the Spinx #193 in Simpsonville her ticket was a big winner. She said her only thought was, "Let me sign this ticket and get out of this store."
Her winning numbers were 17, 30, 48, 51, and 54.
The retailer received $10,000 as a commission on the sale of a winning ticket.
