A number of foreign dignitaries including Heads of State are arriving in Sri Lanka to participate in the function to mark the assumption of office by the President for his second term.
Prime Minister of Bhutan Jigmay Thinley arrived in the Katunayake Airport at 12.15 in the morning. A special representative of the Chinese President and the Assistant Foreign Minister along with a ten member delegation arrived in the country yesterday. A delegation headed by the President of the Pakistan Senate Farooq Hamid is also expected to arrive in Sri Lanka today. The State Minister of Pakistan and a special representative of the Maldivian President are amongst the dignitaries expected to arrive in the Island today.
