President Rajapaksa declared open the National Exhibition under the theme “Nidahasa” today, marking the peaceful situation in the country.
The President joined in viewing the Exhibition at the Independence Square this evening. Many Parliamentarians also joined him. The record breaking “Kiribath” was prepared by veteran Chef Paublis Silva with the support of hundreds of chefs in honour of the President’s birthday and inauguration of his second term of office.
People in their thousands are visiting the Nidahasa Exhiibition which was declared opened yesterday.
The exhibition aims to showcase a mix of Sri Lanka’s proud history, patriotism and the use of modern technology in development. The exhibition includes an extremely rare photographic display of Sri Lankan history, an indigenous food section, special events for children, latest technological innovations and cultural shows. The Exhibition is open daily from 2.00 to 10.00 p.m. until Saturday and special transport is available to cater to the needs of the people visiting the exhibition
