Girl, 17, hit by car, injured

A 17-year-old girl was injured when she was struck by a car in Northeast Richland this morning.
The S.C. Highway Patrol said Janessa Tangelinan of Columbia was crossing from the west side of Hard Scrabble Road to the east side when she was struck by a car around 8:02 a.m.
Tangelinan suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the collision. The driver of the north-bound Ford Taurus that struck the girl, Gloria Johnson, was not injured.
Troopers determined the pedestrian contributed to the collision by running into the path of the car, he said. No charges have been filed in the incident, he said.Vicinity of car-pedestrian collision
