Pakistani representatives have assured full support to the future programme of Sri Lanka where terrorism had been completely uprooted.
They gave this assurance during a meeting with Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa. A high level delegation of the Pakistani Government which was in the island to participate in the President’s inauguration of the second term met the Speaker today. Chairman of the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Farook Naik said the emancipation of the island from terrorism by the President is an honour to the entire South Asian Region. He extended his best wishes to Sri Lanka, which is now entering a new era. He extended an invitation to the Speaker to tour Pakistan in January.
