A 36-year-old Sumter woman died Thanksgiving night after she was hit by a car.
Annette Lloyd died at the scene from her injuries, said Sumter County Coroner Harvin Bullock.
She was struck by a car about 11 p.m. while trying to cross U.S. 15 North near Byrd Street just outside of the Sumter city limits, said Sgt. Kelley Hughes of the S.C. Highway Patrol. She was hit by a 2002 Saturn, which was driven by a Columbia man. The speed limit was 45 miles per hour on the three lane road.
No charges have been filed in the accident, Hughes said.
