SLMC MP Noordeen Mashoor has passed away

Sri Lanka Muslim Congress Wanni District Parliamentarian and former Minister S.K. Noordeen Mashoor has passed away. He was 48.

He died at a private hospital early this morning.   Born at Erukkalanpiddi in Mannar in 1962, Mr. Mashoor received his early education at the Erukkalanpidi Central College. Thereafter he entered the Jaffna University and received a degree on Commerce Management. He first entered Parliament during the 1999 General Election. He was elected to Parliament in 2001 representing the Wanni District. Mr. Mashoor had served as Deputy Minister for National Integration and Wanni Assistant Minister. He again elected to Parliament in this year’s elections. Noordeen Mashoor was a deputy leader of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress. He is a father of two children. The funeral will take place today.
