Officials still dont know what caused last weeks fire at the old S.C. State Farmers Market that destroyed part of a former fresh foods warehouse.
The S.C. State Law Enforcement Division is continuing to investigate, Columbia interim Fire Chief Aubrey Jenkins said.
SLED is investigating because the 52-acre site is owned by the University of South Carolina, a state agency, Jenkins said.
An October fire that caused some $200,000 worth of damage at the same warehouse was caused by a workplace accident. But authorities said last week that no one was supposed to be inside the sprawling one- and-two story warehouse.
