A programme is being implemented to provide relief for the people affected by the rains. The Disaster Management Centre said that more than 4,000 people have been provided shelter in 46 centres. 50,000 people around the country are affected due to floods and landslides.
He said that 4,512 people have sought shelter in temporary camps. A continuous programme is being implemented for their benefit. The Disaster Management Centre is coordinating with the relevant district units while maintaining communications with the Met department and the irrigation Department to provide the necessary information to the public. He said that people are continuously being provided relief.
