More than 95,000 persons throughout the country are hindered by torrential rain. Assistant Director of the Disaster Management Centre Pradeep Kodipilly said they were continuously providing relief to these people.
He said that the number of camps in which the flood victims had taken shelter has declined. The number of displaced has come down to 47,000. At present 7,437 persons are sheltered in camps. Floods have impacted more than 95,000 persons. 310 houses have been completely damaged while those partially affected are 3,683. However, he emphasized that the relief programme is continuously being launched through the Disaster Management Centre.
