Nebraska authorities have arrested a 29-year-old man on the suspicion that he misled investigators searching for a missing 19-year-old Peru State College student.
The Nemaha County Sheriff's Office says Joshua Keadle is a "person of interest" in the disappearance of Tyler "Ty" Thomas. Both Keadle and Thomas are Peru State students.
Keadle remained in jail Thursday morning on suspicion of providing false information to police and tampering with evidence. Last month, Keadle was also charged with criminal mischief in connection with a damaged door on campus.
Court records say Keadle is from Swansea, S.C. No lawyer is listed for him.
Thomas, of Bellevue, was last seen around 1:30 a.m. Friday in footage from a campus security camera.
