Coming on the heels of the anniversary of Pearl Harbor this week, a new documentary detailing Americas role in one of the most significant but often misunderstood events of World War II will screen at the South Carolina Confederate Relic Room and Military Museum next week.
The Americans in the Bulge will show at 6 p.m. Thursday at the museum, at 301 Gervais St.
The documentary is the third in a trilogy of films by producer Richard Lanni that records Americans road to victory in WWII.
Narrated by battlefield tour guide Ellwood von Seibold, the film also employs veterans testimonies, animated maps and historical documents to recreate what has been described as one of the bloodiest and most costly campaigns ever to be fought by U.S. forces.
A Q&A session with Lanni will follow the screening.
