It is the first of its kind in Sri Lanka. Yesterday was the second day of the Exhibition and the opening took place under the patronage of First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa. The exhibition, at the BMICH, will be open to the public until 6.00 p.m. today. The exhibition is being organized by the National Gem and Jewellery Authority under the guidance of the Ministry of Environment. The exhibition aims to promote Sri Lanka as the leader of supplying high quality gems and jewelry products to the world. Chairman of the Authority Anil Koswatte presented a special gift to the First Lady. Minister Anura Priyadarshana Yapa was present on the occasion.
