Authorities say they are still looking for a South Carolina man who killed his mother-in-law and kidnapped his wife from the parking lot of an eye care center in Spartanburg.
Police told multiple media outlets that 37-year-old Kenneth Ray Moore approached his wife and her mother and father as they sat in a pickup truck. Moore demanded his wife come with him, and she refused.
Investigators say Moore then shot 58-year-old Fay Fagan twice and forced his 36-year-old wife from the truck. She was released unharmed about an hour later.
Authorities say Moore filed a police report from the hospital last month saying his wife was trying to poison him. Investigators took food and drink samples, but test results were not available.
