Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara has said that there is no future for the UNP despite a change in its leadership. The Minister was speaking at the 50th Anniversary celebrations of the Sri Lankan Branch of the National Civil Services organization.
The Minister said that militant groups and the conservative groups in the UNP seek to become an alternative force in the country. He said that they are guided by conservative views which are facing a crisis throughout the world. The Minister was of the view that a solution cannot be found for this issue unless a change is brought in the political theories and not of individuals.
