Operations to nab army deserters

Military operations are being launched in search of soldiers who had deserted the Army. This was announced by Military Spokesman Major Gen. Obaya Medawela.

The Military Spokesman said that some soldiers had deserted the forces undermining and belittling the victories achieved during the humanitarian operations. As such, the Army Commander had drawn his attention to this matter. Accordingly, the Military Police has been vested with the task of apprehending all Officers and soldiers who are not returning to their forces. The Military Police have already taken some deserters into custody. Those who are expected to be maintained within the forces will be accorded special training and directing them to rehabilitation. He requested the public to give any information to the nearest Military Police or to an Army camp about any deserters and extend support to their operations in this respect.
