Saudi Arabia has joined in to make massive investments in the Fisheries Sector. Minister Rajitha Senaratne said the agreements in this connection will be signed in due course.
The Minister made this observation at the inauguration of the 73rd fish outlet of the Fisheries Corporation setup in the Boralesgamuwa area. The Minster pointed out that the Fisheries Corporation and Saudi Arabia are jointly launching the project. Manufacture of fish related products will be increased with the use of modern machinery. The Minister pointed out that the new investment permits consumption as well as export of fish. He pointed out that a high amount of foreign exchange will be earned by the country through implementing the project. Chairman of the Fisheries Corporation Mahil Senaratne was amongst those who participated in the occasion.
