Former Tamil National Alliance (TNA) parliamentarian M. K. Sivajilingam has said that the proposals for a political solution to the ethnic issue will be handed over to the government within two months by the forum of Tamil political parties.
He has also called for the administrative affairs in the North East provinces within a united Sri Lanka should be given to the Tamil speaking public.
Sivajilingam, who is also the General Secretary of the Tamil National Freedom Alliance, has been quoted in the media today saying that the Tamil people have faced many injustices in recent times and that it was now time to change it.
According to Sivajilingam, steps should also be taken to protect the rights of minority nationalities in other areas of the country.
He has added that the proposals to provide a political solution to the ethnic issue, which is currently being prepared by a group of Tamil political parties would be handed over to the government within two months.
