O/L candidates told to avoid loud celebrations

Police have requested the students who sit the G.C.E. O/Level Examination to return to their homes peacefully after the end of the examination.

DIG Colombo Anura Senanayake requested the students not to engage in unruly behaviour following the examination. He said that strict action will be taken against those who disturb the peace. A special security programme is being implemented covering the schools in Colombo. Meanwhile Commissioner General for Examinations Anura Edirisinghe said that the results of the students who engage in aggressive behaviour will be suspended despite their status. He said that the students who cause damage to public property will have to pay for the loss suffered by the government.
