Christians throughout the world are getting ready to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ. In Sri Lanka, Christmas Carols are one of the main features of the commemoration. Carols are being organized by many establishments.
The Carols organized by the External Affairs Ministry were staged at the Ministry’s Auditorium. Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Among the distinguished gathering present were Deputy Minister Neomal Perera, many Parliamentarians and foreign diplomats. A message from Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith was read on this occasion.
St. Benedict’s College Kotahena also organized its annual Carol service. The service was conducted at the College auditorium. Director of the School Rev. Br. Granville Perera was the Chief Guest. The College Senior Choir, Primary Choir, the Drama club and the Old Benedictine Choirs performed at this event. Old boys as well as parents were present.
