Preliminary autopsy results show that a man whose body was found in an SUV submerged in a Myrtle Beach golf course pond drowned.
Horry County deputy coroner Darris Fowler told The Sun News of Myrtle Beach that 47-year-old Donald Raven died Wednesday morning.
Fowler says a security guard was on duty at Man O' War Golf Course in Carolina Forest until 4 a.m. Wednesday. Fowler says the car likely went in the water after that. Officials found the submerged car around 7:30 a.m.
The Highway Patrol is investigating how the car ended up in the pond, but no foul play is suspected.
