Minister Basil Rajapaksa has said that the New Year that has dawned will be a turning point in the Sri Lankan economy.
The Minister pointed out that the new situation has been created due to fully concentrating on economic development following the war and the political stability created in the country. He said that the background for steady economic development was set up while the world economic crisis was taking place last year. He said that most of the projects on building infrastructure, launched last year will be completed this year. It would provide more opportunities for investments. The benefits of the development will be used to improve the living standards of the people. The Minister points out that by following the path of peace and through economic development the country will enter a prosperous era.
