The Government is also focussing on controlling the non-contagious diseases. Minister Maithripala Sirisena has said that special allocations have been made from the budget for this purpose.
The Minister made these observations when he made an inspection tour at the Maligawatte Kidney Transplant and Dialysis Centre. The Minister said that the situation of Kidney patients has posed a serious problem and a challenge to the Health sector.
