Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva has revealed of a special programme aimed at preventing brain drain.
The Minister said that not only adopting regulations, but incentives should be granted to prevent brain drain. He added that some background had to be created to strengthen their economy.
The Minister was speaking at a function organized for the recruitment of Engineers and Technical Officers for the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau on engineering tasks. They have been recruited under the Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources Management. 200 Engineers, Assistant Engineers, Planners, Architects and Technical Officers received their letters of appointment from the Minister. The Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau also provides consultancy services to Western and Middle-East countries.
