The World Health Organization has (WHO) handed over a shipment containing 100,000 capsules of 'Tamiflu' required to treat AH1N1 patients, yesterday (06). The shipment of drugs totalling to 78,000 US Dollars is adequate for a period of three years and will expire in 2014. The stock of drugs has been donated on a request made by Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena to WHO. The WHO Representative for Sri Lanka, Dr.f.R.Mehta addressing the media after handing over the shipement congratulated Sri Lanka for the speedy distribution of vaccines which controls AH1N1.
