Forecasters say much of South Carolina could get snow, sleet and freezing rain on Monday.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for much of the central part of the state, warning frozen precipitation should start falling early Monday morning and last throughout the day.
Watches aren't posted for other portions of the state yet, but forecasters say snow and sleet are possible for much of South Carolina west of the coast on Monday.
The Department of Transportation has begun getting its crews together to keep roads open, and schools are already warning parents to check the weather Sunday to see if students might get at least an extra day added to their weekend.
