Gov.-elect Nikki Haleys inaugural activities will go on as scheduled on Tuesday and Wednesday despite the winter storm, according to spokesman Rob Godfrey.
However, lawmakers will push Tuesdays scheduled start of the Legislative session into the afternoon to allow more time for roads to improve after Mondays snow and ice.
Snow and ice covered much of the state Monday and was expected to continue into early Tuesday.
But Godfrey said the Family Fun Night scheduled Tuesday night at the state fairgrounds would go on as scheduled. Tickets for the event are $20 for adults; children 18 and under are free.
A prayer service is scheduled for Wednesday morning followed by Haleys swearing-in. A $250-a-couple formal gala is planned for Wednesday night.
