Sri Lanka has joined the countries in the world that have shown speedy development.
Sri Lanka has achieved this status due to the 2011economic freedom index. The indexes have been compiled by World Heritage Foundation and the Wall Street Journal. Accordingly Hong Kong is ranked place for overall development. Singapore has achieved the second place while Australia is ranked third. Sri Lanka is placed in a higher position in the Asia Pacific Region. It has achieved the 19th place among 41 countries. The Index has pointed out that steady development has been indicated in the sectors of trade, financial activities and investment freedom.
