Dynamic 3D Images can now be recorded by anyone. Panasonic together with Softlogic last week took the Sri Lankan audio visual experience to the next level with the launch of the World’s First* Panasonic 3D Camcorder. Sri Lankan viewers can now join billions of viewers around the globe to enjoy the magic, mystique, and exhilarating appeal of the revolutionary Panasonic 3D technologies.
Managing Executive Officer of Panasonic Corporation – Corporate Management Division for Asia and Oceania of Panasonic Corporation, Managing Director of Panasonic Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., Ikuo Miyamoto who was present on this special occasion said that he was happy to share the magic of Panasonic’s revolutionary 3D technology with thousands of discerning Sri Lankans. “Panasonic is proud to be an inventor at the cutting edge of technological innovation, and we will be unveiling our exciting range of world’s first 3D camcorders for the ultimate entertainment experience.
“As a result of research conducted in collaboration with Hollywood film studios over the years, Panasonic developed a professional 3D system camera and succeeded in bringing high-quality FULL HD 3D images to the home for viewing on 3D compatible TVs. The development of the world’s first* consumer 3D camcorder, the HDC-SDT750, which allows 3D images to be recorded at home by simply attaching a 3D conversion lens, is the next step. Incorporating Panasonic broadcast technology, this new 3MOS System camcorder lets users easily create their own 3D movies, something that only professional image producers were previously able to do,” said Ikuo Miyamoto.
“In addition, currently there is still a lack of sufficient 3D content, but combined with an industry-leading VIErA 3DTV** and Blu-ray Disc Player***, the SDT750 makes it possible to save precious memories of friends and family in vivid, lifelike images, to further expand the world of 3D enjoyment at home. And it will help create an impressive new lifestyle for consumers by brining in the Panasonic 3D World,” he added.
Chairman, Softlogic Holdings, Ashok Pathirage said “This is an immensely exciting time for us, both for Softlogic and Panasonic in Sri Lanka. We are embarking on a fresh new year by introducing a ‘world first’ product such as the Panasonic 3D Camcorder – a revolution in technology. This comes in the wake of the recently launched Panasonic FULL HD 3D Plasma TV which we jointly introduced to the market in September 2010. And this time around we are delighted with the opportunity to introduce the Panasonic 3D Camcorder to our discerning and loyal customers to further enrich the quality of their lifestyles.  Softlogic has always been in the forefront of offering our loyal customers the best technology and products that help enable a superior lifestyle and this launch is another testimony of that initiative together with Panasonic.”
Softlogic is one of the leading organisations in Sri Lanka today, having expanded and diversified into the spheres of IT, Telecommunications, Consumer Electronics, Office Automation, Retail, Automobiles, Apparel, Computer Based Airline Reservations, Power Solutions, Property Development, Furniture, Health Care and Leisure, holding authorised distributorships for some key global brand names.
