The man considered "a person of interest" in the disappearance of a Peru State College student has pleaded not guilty in an unrelated rape case.
The Lincoln Journal Star reports a Nemaha County district judge has set an April 13 trial date for 29-year-old Joshua Keadle, who's originally from Swansea. Keadle faces three counts of sexual assault and one count each of false imprisonment and terroristic threats in the alleged assault on Halloween.
An FBI agent testified at an earlier hearing that the woman said Keadle threatened to toss her into the Missouri River if she resisted him. She says that happened at the Peru boat dock.
Authorities say the dock is where Keadle says he left 19-year-old Tyler "Ty" Thomas on Dec. 3. She hasn't been seen since.
