Lexington High prinicpal retiring

Lexington High School's principal for the last 9 years is retiring. According to a release from Lexington County School District One superintendent Karen Woodward, Principal B. Creig Tyler plans to retire at the end of the 2010-2011 school year.
Creig began his career in public education in 1970 as a teacher and coach at Spring Valley High School. He taught and coached at other local high schools including Lugoff-Elgin and Irmo. He took over the reigns at Lexington High School in 2002. In 2007 he was chosen by the South Carolina Association of School Administrators as its Secondary Principal of the Year.
In other Lexington One news, Janet M. Fickling was named principal for Midway Elementary School. Fickling, an educator for 18 years, replaces Cheryl Fralick who was named principal of Meadow Glen Elementary School which is scheduled to open for the 2011-2012 school year.
