Power supplies which were damaged due to floods will be brought to normality without levying any charges.
Power connections in many areas were effected due to the adverse weather. The survey is being carried out on the supplies which had been affected. Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka said supplies will be restored free of charge after estimating the expenditure that will be incurred on repairs. The Electricity Board suffered a loss of about 10 million rupees due to inclement weather and flooding. Any power disconnections can be brought to the notice of officials of the Electrical Engineering office of the area to get the repairs done. The hotline to do so is 1987.
