Donations are pouring in from every part of the country for the programme launched by ITN to help flood victims.
A stock of goods collected under the guidance of Presidential Advisor on Buddhist affairs, the Ven. Bengamuwe Nalaka Thera was handed over to the ITN head office at Wickramasinghepura today. The stock included bottled water.
Another stock collected by Harshan de Silva, Chairman of the Sri Lanka Lands Reclamation and Development Corporation which comes under the purview of the Defence Ministry was also entrusted to ITN at the Corporation premises today.
The State Plantations Corporation handed in more donations to the ITN head office. It comprised dry rations as well as bottled water.
A stock of essential goods collected by the staff of the Tangalla Base hospital with the involvement of its Medical Superintendent Nimal Abeysiriwardena was among the donations received today.
The Boralesgamuwa United Traders Association and the Civil Defence committee had collected some goods for the benefit of the flood victims. These too were handed over to the ITN head office today.
