Construction work on the fuel terminal adjacent to the Magampura Harbour has entered the final phase.
The construction work of the fuel terminal has been expedited. It is coming up in adjacent to the Harbour for the purpose of supplying fuel to vessels calling at the Harbour.
It is expected to cost 76 million US Dollars. Construction is handled by a Chinese Firm. The Fuel terminal will have 14 tanks. The total capacity will be 80 thousand cubic metres. Eight tanks will supply fuel to ships and three to aircraft. Three tanks will store LP gas. The complex is also equipped with laboratories and administrative buildings.
