The ferry service between Tuticorin and Colombo is expected to commence by the end of next month.
This was revealed by India’s Union Minister of Shipping G. K. Vasan. He was speaking at the inauguration of a passenger terminal and laying the foundation stone for North Cargo Berth II on the premises of the Tuticorin Port. He said initially, the ferry service would be operational thrice a week. Mr. Vasan pointed out that later, the frequency would be increased.
