An LTTE cadre who had damaged state property has been remanded.
The Terrorists Control Bureau succeeded in apprehending the suspect from Vavuniya during the war period. Investigations have been revealed that the suspect had been involved in launching a missile attack on an MI-24 helicopter. He had also supported in unleashing attacks on several army camps including Pooneryn. The damage caused by the suspect to public property is estimated at more than 250 million rupees. Accordingly, the police requested the Colombo Magistrate’s Court to remand the suspect. In response, the suspect was remanded until the conclusion of the hearing.
