Police say a South Carolina man wanted in the shooting death of his mother-in-law has been arrested after a customer recognized him at the Walmart in Greer.
Spartanburg police told the Herald-Journal of Spartanburg that 37-year-old Kenneth Ray Moore was taken into custody Thursday night after a brief struggle.
Investigators say Moore shot and killed his mother-in-law and briefly kidnapped his wife after a confrontation Tuesday in the parking lot of a Spartanburg eye care center.
About two weeks before the shooting, Moore was in the hospital and told doctors he thought his wife was poisoning him. Police are still investigating that allegation.
Moore is in the Spartanburg County jail. It wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney.
