Once again, the homes and gardens in a South Carolina coastal city are opening their doors and gates to visitors as part of an annual walking tour.
The 75th edition of the Garden Club of Charleston's annual walking tour begins on Friday and continues on Saturday in the city's Historic District. The event is always held when spring foliage is at its peak.
Proceeds from the tour are used by The Garden Club to maintain a number of gardens in Charleston, among them the gardens at the historic Manigault and Heyward-Washington houses and the Healing Garden at the Medical University of South Carolina.
