Someone broke into a storage shed at the S.C. Golf Association offices in Irmo and took seven sets of golf clubs that were donated for local schools, association officials said.
The break-in occurred sometime before 8 a.m. Tuesday. A tent used for events also was taken, association executive director Happ Lathrop said.
The clubs are donated to the association and given to its junior chapter and school districts for youth golf programs. They were valued at $1,500 to $1,800.
