The JVP today (2) called on the government to reveal as to what became of the foreign and other aid money received for the floods victims.
JVP General Secretary Tilvin Silva told a press conference that the government received millions as aid for the flood victim and that no one knew what had happened to the funds.
He also said the people would make a decisive move to defeat the government at the forthcoming local government elections.
Silva observed that the government has so far failed to address the cost of living burden shouldered by the people and to restore democracy in the country.
He said that the Rajapaksa era was nearing an end and the local government elections would be a turning point in the country’s politics.
