Look out the window this morning and you'll see the start of a rain event that promises to bring a good soaking to the area, especially throughout the day Friday.
Low pressure in the Gulf of Mexico is pushing moisture over South Carolina, which will result in hours of rainfall, heavy in some places, reports mark Malsick of the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources.
Cool temperatures overnight tonight could result in some freezing rain or sleet in the northern Midlands and Upstate. Skies will clear early in the day Saturday.
