A home on Snow Road was damaged by fire early this morning, but two residents escaped the flames.
The single-family house at 117 Snow Road was an estimated 70 percent engulfed in flames when Columbia-Richland firefighters arrived around 3 a.m., Chief Aubrey Jenkins said.
The fire of as-yet-unknown origin caused about $60,000 in damages, Jenkins said. The Richland County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating.
A man and his daughter, whose names and ages were not immediately available, were at home when the fire started.
"They had to get out the windows to escape the fire," Jenkins said.
