Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo’s Sunday Carvery is back in action bigger and better than ever before, with ‘action’ being the key word! The salad station offers guests freshly tossed salads made to order. The pasta station turns out plates of pasta catering to the diner’s preference. Whilst the aroma of fish and chips being fried out on the 7 Degrees deck is just too hard to resist. On this occasion even dessert is prepared a la minute!
The talented performers that comprise the band Jags Quartet will add a fresh flavor to the day’s activities with Derek Wickramanayake, a legend in the Lankan music industry. Coupled with Gananath Dasanayake, a saxophonist who has the ability to keep audiences spellbound, Ashane Bernard, a sensation on keyboards, Suraj Gunawardene, the gifted base guitarist and Jude Thiyagaraja who has a way with drums, the band creates the perfect sound for a Sunday afternoon. It’s not often one hears of a five star restaurant persuading guests to come as they are, but the Sunday Roast at 7 Degrees North is a T-shirt and shorts affair. After a dip in the pool, guests are even encouraged to wrap a robe around their swim wear and lunch outdoors. The day may begin as early as 7.00am, or anytime thereafter, for those who would like to work up an appetite in the 33 metre shimmering blue pool situated conveniently near 7 Degrees North, where the Sunday Roast takes place.True to the British Sunday Roast tradition, the buffet comprises items such as succulent roast chicken, honey glazed ham, roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, baked potatoes, poached fish, red wine jus, herb jus, roast vegetables, and an assortment of soft breads straight from the oven.
