Transport which was paralysed in many roads in the Anuradhapura has returned to normality.
Transport long roads North of Anuradhapura was gradually returning to normalcy. Flood water between Rambewa and Medawachchiya are subsiding. It was affected due to the overflow of the Kanadara Oya. The Army took the initiative of effecting temporary repaired to roads which were washed away by floods. Bus services have resumed on the Anuradhapura-Vavuniya, Sripura and Pulmuddai and Vavuniya and Colombo highways. As a result the difficulties experienced in the supply of goods to Medawachchiya and Kebetigollewa areas have been overcome. The supply of food and fuel has returned to normality while transport services have also resumed. Our correspondent said that flood waters in the Anuradhapura City are receding.
