The Met Department has forecast that the continuing atmospheric depression can cause more rains.
Duty Forecaster of Met Dept. Damayanti Indiketihewage said that the atmospheric depression is prevailing close to Sri Lanka. It will cause intermittent rains in Eastern, Central, Uva, North and North-central Provinces. A few areas will experience fairly heavy showers. She said that there is a possibility of more rain due to the persistent depression.
