A new road is to be constructed in the city of Colombo where several Cricket World Cup 2011 matches are to be played.
Sri Lanka Cricket and the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) is to construct this new road connecting Maradana to the Kettarama Cricket Stadium where several World Cup matches are scheduled to be played.
CMC Special Administration Omar Kamil has told the media that Sri Lanka Cricket has allocated Rs. 15 million for this new road, which is to start from near the Crown Cinema Junction and proceed through the Adi Seeya Para (100 foot road), Apple Watte and lead to the Kettarama Stadium.
Meanwhile, the CMC has also planned night fiestas during the days when matches would be played in Sri Lanka.
Night Fiestas are to be on February 25 and 26, March 5, 6, 18 and 19 and on April 1.
